Type 81

T81 and Cz858 are 2 completely different rifles. Only internet warriors will debate why you should own one over the other, while most serious shooters will have both.

Lifes to short to own a VZ ;)

Hahaha, I fully agreed. Even though I own 4 CZ and 2 Type 81 are coming, I don't feel like selling my Czech girls. Lol.

Had we imported the 81 years ago, and the vz was just coming in.. everybody would be so excited for the VZ

Lets just see what happens once the range reports come in over the next year... my CZ 858 was garbage compared to the CSA vz58 I have now.... hopefully the 81 turns out to be a great success. It looks super kool, but if it's minute of barn.. then its paper weight.

The front sight post being closer on the 81 isn't going to do it many favours.
There will be complaints and some very disappointed buyers...Then there will be those who don't care how it shoots, and will love it just because we can own something that looks AK'ish and goes bang.

Fixed it for you ;)

I just can't rationalize adding another magazine fed semiautomatic 7.62x39 rifle into my inventory.

Being closer to an AK as a reason for owning one... who cares. That's just aesthetics.

Not unless you are at an approved range, then the AR's performance is moot.

Still a better preforming rifle/caliber even if it is restricted to the range.

I feel allot better after taking my AR out. Hell even my T97 is more accurate then any 7.62 cz/vz/sks/zastava(bolt action) I own.
