Type 81

Well, it looks like they deleted that guy's comment on FB. So obviously they're active. It would appear they just don't want to admit to whatever is going on.

Well i for one... dont like being Lied to!!! I am not saying i should have a email... but i would think someone on here would have had one that they could show!! As with the fix stocks!! Hope u am wrong... But someone here should have something.... And telling us they are ready to ship is totally on TI !!! NO EXCUSE FOR THIS!

When the fixed were being shipping the process followed a a very similar pattern. On the 5th (a Sunday) TI stated a large number were ready to go out on Monday and no tracking numbers were reported received until the 7th (Tuesday) afternoon.

Then TI posted this yesterday:

Folders started getting scanned in yesterday, we started updating folding stock tracking #'s yesterday as well. FYI the tracking update might have gone to junkmail as we are getting many reports of this. There will be more updates today and moving forward as we are into processing the folding stock orders.

Similar to the fixed presumed Monday shipments I suspect some will see confirmations by tomorrow afternoon.

Sounds like a left hand right hand thing. Nothing wrong with being a little optimistic with the updating but man oh man they sure aren't doing themselves any favors.

Someone else just commented on that same thread asking for some evidence they have the rifles and are shipping them. Popcorn time.

You don't actually believe they will respond, do you? I'm not holding my breath.

I'm not either, BUT I feel like they're more inclined to respond on their FB than here. People look up their Facebook for business. If all they see are a bunch of "hey, why haven't you sent me my stuff I bought a year ago yet?" comments, I imagine that's not too good for them.

If you want to leave a review go the Type 81 poll:

Its not facebook, but everyday it get wors for them. I cant believe they still have 65% support!

Well, they responded to his question with: "We have the folding stock rifles and are shipping them. Not everyone is on the forums but it is odd nobody has said anything on there about their folder tracking so far."

No proof offered, of course. But whatever.

Your right about not everyone being on the forumn. But I would guess atleast 50% of the T-81 purchasers are from this forumn. Even if we only made up 10%, somebody should have posted about folders and everyone that ordered a fixed stock should have the gun or a tracking number!!

I agree. I'm just quoting what they said.

I think we should all just be grateful for the crumbs of info we get, they are after all a very busy operation these days...

Maybe tomorrow some of us will win the T81 folder shipping notice lottery, eh?

:ang3

(no tracking here/status: deposit received)

Yes the daily T81 lottery. At one gun every working day minus holidays and weekends, we should have all the folders in 2.5 years. The worse part is they are all paid for!!

Isn't it interesting that there's no review system for them? You can't leave a rating for them anywhere. I wonder why.

I couldn't care less about a FB page but I gave them feedback on this site. If you're really unhappy ask for a refund and/or leave negative feedback on their trader rating.
Is the problem that you haven't gotten your rifle yet or is it mostly that guys who ordered after the original guys have gotten their rifles first?
I'm sure that packing and shipping 1000 rifles and accessories isn't the easiest job when you don't have 100 experienced and trustworthy people helping, especially since every parcel should probably be checked by a couple guys prior to shipping to make sure that the right orders go to the right customers.
Think about it, if they screw up orders and put extra magazines in with someone who didn't order them do you think that person is going to return them? That would leave them short at the end and someone that did pay for extra mags will not get theirs and be mad, so every package needs to be double checked before it gets shipped.

My only complaint is them charging $30 for a sling that was probably included with every rifle from the factory. At least it was an option I could have said no to if I wanted to though.

I hope everyone still waiting at least has a tracking number by the end of the week.

To be quite honest with you, as annoyed as I am I don't have the item I paid for, that's not the issue that has me concerned. It's the fact they've claimed that they've shipped out tons of the folders and yet no one here seems to have received a shipping notice or even an account update. If they sent a message saying "your rifle will be shipping on X day" I'd be cool with that, even if it was two weeks from now. As long as it was truthful. And everything they've said so far hasn't been. Their process has been an absolute gong show considering they had a year to prep for this, and no amount of speed at this point is going to fix that. Whether or not they actually are doing what they say they are is a totally separate issue.

Stop protecting TI man it's getting sad

Not protecting them, the only thing that sad is the constant whining by children who don't consider that there may be other factors that have caused things to unfold the way they have. Do you really think that TI wants to piss off the guys who ordered over a year ago? Do you think they want to be receiving all this negative press? Do you not think they would be doing it differently if they had other options that actually made sense?
Obviously the container wasn't packed one order at a time with a box with John's folder and 8 magazines at the front because he ordered first. They just put 500 folders in followed by 500 fixed and the extra magazines were somewhere in there as well.
I don't know how many guys or how much warehouse space TI has to work with but it couldn't have been as much as they needed to be able to do things the way you would have liked.

I only read what they said on the weekend that they had a couple hundred ready to ship and that they would be going out Monday morning. If they posted other info somewhere else I would have missed it. I though that I read on one of these threads that some guys had gotten tracking notification yesterday.
Yes, the order rifles were shipped does not make a lot of sense considering most of the guys who ordered early would have ordered a folding stock version. I just think that there must have been a good reason to do things the way they did or they would have done things differently. Maybe they simply figured they would be able to have them all shipped in less than a week so they just started shipping what they could as they were unloading the container.
You are 100% correct, more open and honest communication would have gone a long way to calm a lot of the discontent and anger of a lot of the guys.
I'm the same as you, I'd rather be given honest and timely bad news so I can deal with it than be left twirling in the wind to come up with my own ideas of what may be happening.
