No the one in the red rifles forum is still up. it hasn't closed as it is still open and you've been posting in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really, is the red rifle section where TI usually posts or do they use their own forum page? The only reason it's in red rifle is because TI locks everything on their page about the Type 81. It a bit like censorship. I suspect this will be locked soon. Apparently FB is where we should be checking or red rifle section, not under TI's page.

They keep locking it because of the thousands of "are we there yet?" Posts and inevitable political thread detailment.

This is true. The reason I requested an update on the TI page was to try and get a forum response directly from TI. The lack of response so far is inexplicable. Although the Red Rifles thread has well over a thousand comments, I think that none (or at least very, very few) of them are from TI. I figured when I posted that I might get jumped by fanboys and quickly shut down, and sure enough thats what happened. That speaks for itself, I think.

Because of shat like this my guess is the last update we will hear is "these are in canada ready to ship to customers" otherwise I guess FB and instagram are the only places they are opening up on.
From all the negativity I have seen on here I can't say I blame them BUT to people who have an order with TI I feel and email update is in order

These Type 81 threads aren't about being impatient with the manufacturing process. It is China and I think we all understand about the factory production process. The pre-order customers have generally been patient from what I can see and I expect they are prepared to be patient awhile longer. What I can't accept, and what I perceive to be the message of most of the posts at this point, is the complete failure of TI to give give generally (on this forum where most if not all of the pre-order customers would see it) or at least to give specifically to the pre-order customers by e-mail as was done some months ago, a true specific update now that the inspection milestone has passed. Don't give me the ridiculous response that there hasn't been time or that technical circumstances have somehow prevented it. Communication, or lack thereof, is a telling sign, since it is so easily addressed, and at this point the sign isn't good. Just tell us!

Exactly, I could not agree more.

So if the factory is Top Secret ? Why weren't all the phones surrendered before entry?? We did get pics of boxes???

The factory is top secret? I never said that. I just think it's possible a military arms factory wouldn't want a bunch of pictures taken of the inside of the building or production equipment.

My guess is as they stated the wood finish was wrong and they didnt want to create a fuzz.
its going to be corrected. they just dont understand how to handle the crowd.

that being said its just my opinion we will see.

Who cares, they posted pics of the shipment, and then later of the finished product (at least the folders) on Facebook...what more do you want? Wood pile gun ####? Laying on a tac vest with a bunch of mags and unfired cartridges? That will have to wait...for now they said everything looks great and delivery in 6-8 weeks, what is it that's missing?

like 10 pics of both guns in different angles.an email to the mailling list of preorders....
but ok.... anyways well see.
