Type 81M... Folder or Fixed

Hey Joel, just curious.... how long has Atomwaffen been in your awareness?

I had never heard of them before this thread.

For thread on topic purposes I will also add that the decision for folder or fixed got a little easier today..... folders are all that's left for the time being.

I received both fixed and folder today. My previous experience with the T81 was a SE Folder that I quite liked but sold to finance an X95. First impressions:

First thing I noticed is the colour of the wood, it is toyish looking, I do not like it at all (compared to the SE). Fit and finish of the wood, however, is much nicer than the SE. My top handguard on the SE was wobbly, and the fitting left much to be desired. The wood on the M has a nice mat clear finish and does not move at all. Fit is nice as well.

The LOP of the fixed stock is ridiculously short. Cheek weld is also horrible, you really have to put your head forward into the dip at the front of the stock to get a proper sight view. LOP on the folder is much better, however there is no cheek weld whatsoever. If you have a really long chin it might reach the stock, otherwise your head is floating there. Also beware of the mag cutout in the butt of the folder when bringing it up to you shoulder, it's a nipple ripper haha!
The SE and original folder really has the best stock by far.

Metal finish on the M is nicer than it was on the SE as well. I also appreciate the front sight being all the way forward. I'm not sure which of the two I will keep, I am leaning towards the fixed stock but will be building an AKM wood furniture set for it with a longer buttstock with proper height and an AK grip. I may also make a run of a few hundred if it turns out nice and there is interest in AK Birch laminate stocks.

All in all, the fit and finish on these rifles is much nicer than the SE, other than the stain colour.

Im willing to bet its designed to allow the dust cover and bolt carrier group to slip out from underneath it.... if that isnt the case then its a stupid design. Dust cover doesn't need much clearance to come out. The mount sits very far forward leading me to believe the bolt passes behind it and lifts out un restricted. Its a neat little design for mounting a red dot and if you like the looks of it. And someone on Reddit just confirmed via a pic that it works nicely with the underfolder Type 81M. I see Zastava in the States makes/offers a similar mount for AK underfolders. However it has a proprietary dovetail system that allows it to come off and return to zero.

It occurred to me that there is a way a fixed stock could be neatly installed on a folder.
There are stocks that clamp to a short section of Pic. rail. Remove he folder assembly. Install a square U piece over the rear of the receiver. Secure with a steel dowel through the folder pivot hole. Pic rail section on rear of U piece. Couple of screws which would press against the rear of the receiver, pushing the U piece back, hard against the dowel cross pin. No alterations to the rifle required, stock attachment would be quite rigid.
Or, the rear of the receiver could be drilled and tapped, and a Pic. piece screwed directly to the receiver. Cosmetic plug could be put in the pivot hole.

I was thinking something along those lines too, like the BCL Siberian does it right? A pic adapter.

That looks a bit like what Tiriaq was thinking about, not sure if it has the vertical pic rail or if the folding mechanism is directly attached with the visible bolts....

I think some of you should take a long pause before denigrating sigmaco or his affiliates. Some men have decided to organize themselves since they see their people being replaced and their history being erased.

Historically men like these were called Patriots and heroes.

I recently watched a documentary on current white nationalist organizations. It mentioned a journalist who infiltrated Atomwaffen and relayed what he experienced. The selection process involved being interviewed extensively about what literature and philosophy he’d read and how good of shape he was in/how often he worked out… and the initiation phase involved getting acquainted with the other members families and doing activities in the community.

And herein lies the problem for the powers that be… and the reason why they will vehemently vilify white nationalists… because while black or other ethnic gangs are little more than drug dealers, pimps and extortionists who feed off the instability of of their own communities and degrade them even further… if the white boys start organizing en mass and gearing up then they will be very capable and our overlords going to have a serious problem on their hands.

You dont have to be allied with Neo Nazis to be a traditionalist. The Patriots and Heroes your thinking of risked life and limb to rid the world of Fascism.

I was speaking of the likes of Louis Riel and Gabriel Dumont. Vilified, persecuted and hung for fighting to carve out a piece for his people, only to be celebrated with a statutory holiday in his name 125 yrs later. Maybe if you knew more about the motivations of those fascists you speak of you might see them in a different light also. History is written by the victors after all, who are motivated themselves to justify their actions.

Louis Riel didnt go around shooting people because they were in wheelchairs. I know plenty enough about Facists, ive backpacked Germany, been to all the museums. Cultural preservation isnt worth transforming your culture into a monstrosity. I will comment on this no further.
