Type 97 Bayonet lug

Hey does anyone know why the Type 97 did not come with a bayonet lug? I am dissapoint D=

Im assuming it didn't come with a bayonet lug because the rifle was not manufactured with one. I hope this answers your question.

Our VZ 58 AR-15 adapter fits on the barrel but I still did not try the bayonet for the length

its design for T95 rifle... so i think it may be able to use on T97....

I ask because the pre-order pictures were all shown with the bayonet lug but the ones we got didn't have one, I was wondering if this was political or some other reason

it's not a huge deal since I won't be doing any bayonet charges anytime soon XD

The main reason will be reduce of cost.

if you check carefully compare the front sight, Type 95's front size same as Canada ammo's T97s, but T97 we got this time is totally different. Original T95 front sight adjusted by the allen key, but Ty97 NSR require SKS's sight adjustment tool.

Those changes will save factory lots money.
