Type 97 Classification Issues - PART TWO

You know, you're right. It makes much more sense to publicly show everything, discuss our strategies that we plan to use to try and keep our $2000 guns, and put out there our documentation so that everyone here can go over every possible avenue we may have so that when we do finally make it into court, they have shored up their side to counter it. But, even if we lose, at least we will have satisfied the curiosity of a bunch of anonymous CGNers, and we all know that that is absolutely paramount:rolleyes:

There is not much strategy needed here......either you win in court or you don't and the Department of Justice who will represent the RCMP has unlimited funds and time...........do you?? :nest:

I'm truly sorry for the cloak and dagger stuff, I am. Canada Ammo has been in this fight since the beginning and has a lot more to lose in this than us. He deserves to be able to see the revocation notices.

RobAk is correct, if we post them on here everyone will beat them to death with their comments. We have many smart people on CGN and I'm sure many of them will come up with angles that our opponents never thought of. This is a public forum and it is monitored by a lot of government agencies. The same agencies that sent the revocation notices.

Please try to understand our position in this. Also, when have you seen us ask for any cash?

You will before it is over!

If we loose t97 fight I guarantee you that you will face exactly the same but for all of your semiautos. I can tell you even more: in our family we decided to sell ALL of our restricted and non-restricted semiautos (we have more than 20 of them) because if t97 fight is lost in very near future all "semis" will be confiscated anyway! I personalty have no doubts about it! Do you?
So, you think t97 owners need your money for their own benefit? I'll pay my own legal fee but every Canadian gun owner that is going to contribute finances to fight for t97 will actually do so to defend their own guns.

One more time - I will not ask for money but every one that will not take active part in this fight will deeply regret it. Trust me on this!

I do not understand why owners of this site still didn't make t97 discussion visible on main page. I think that considering what is at stake it is most important to make every Canadian gun owner realize that in the moment we lose t97 we will technically going to lose all "semis" - restricted and non-restricted! As far I can see about 99% of people on this forum do not even realize what is going on!
IMHO our main goal is to create awareness and united gun community to stand for its rights. Every part of this forum has to have flashing/blinking banner and/or sticky with information about t97 fight. IMHO there should be information screen about RCMP's attempt to set sample case leading to total confiscation of ALL firearms in Canada opening every time each user logs in and logs out this site. As an owner of t97 I'm not only looking to NFA to lead and coordinate legal fight but I also expect forum owners/mods to do their part in creating as much awareness about this fight as we can.

I'm more than willing to donate funds as I too see the long term implications for my guns....but not if I'm kept in the dark and everything is a secret.

There is absolutely no reason for anyone initiating a reference hearing in court to publish documents and strategy. It would be really foolish to do so.
This is not a scam, not netshyt.
You have neither the right nor the need to know the details. If you choose not to give your support that is your business.
I don't have a T97 or HS 10B, but I have had to deal with a letter from the Refusals and Revocations Section, and there is no way I would have posted details on the web.

I think that if the coordinated legal battle begins a simple notification on this site of where to contribute would bring in a lot of funds from people that are not "directly affected" but have the insight of where this will lead. When that occurs my contribution will be underway.

...I'm kept in the dark and everything is a secret.

I'm one of the t97 owners that received letter. If you so have to see it I'll post it here as soon as NFA and/or my lawyer approves it. Obviously all personal info will be blacked out. In my personal humbled opinion I don't think posting revocation notice here should harm our case in any way. But what do I know. After all there must be a reason why I'm not a lawyer. :)

This is for Can am and Paul Morrison It is obvious to me that you gentlemen are working hard on this issue and I sure do appreciate it. That being said if you need to fund raise for this fight I am willing to donate the amount that I have sent to Can Am for the Type 97 that I had ordered from him. I am not a Type 97 owner but had hoped to be. Now that the RCMP CFC has pulled this BS I likely wont be anyways but those that allready are probaly need the help and I understand that. If this $850 is needed please pm me CAN AM and I will give you my order # so that the funds may be used to help with legal costs for those being STOLEN from. I only ask that all other CGNrs can help donate as required because as has been said SKSs and M14s probaly will come up sooner rather than later on this BS THEFT LIST of the RCMP.

I have seen the letter and all attachments. I am satisfied that its authentic and is a confiscation type letter.

I think that Conservatives should wake up to the fact that the timing of this has everything to do with the CPC's effort to kill the registry. Nobody believes the cover story of convertibility. Is the CPC content to have bureaucrats working so actively against them?

Who knows? I'm still trying to get some face time with my MP.

Discuss that angle because I firmly believe that this is the case. There is no way it took at least 18 months to "easily" convert a rifle to FA. Pure BS. Yet as Bill C-391 works it way through the process this 'suddenly' emerges, the Deputy Superintendent declares the registry as useful (but calls it just his opinion) and the media is primed in advance to hit it. Remember the last attempt to introduce a bill? It was spun as "machine guns through our streets" which is hardly the truth given that most rifles that could be taken to the range were manufactured as semi-autos but banned for their looks.

The CPC needs to wake up to the obvious. Yes, the bur-autocrats want to pound us into the ground as part of their agenda, but it's not about the guns, really.

I don't own one, but sure would like to one day. You've guys have got what support I can offer you, not that it is much.

I currently feel better having vented off six letters to MPs.
