Type 97, no luck for lefties?

I was dreaming about a Norinco Type 97, but after looking at pictures realized these would suck for a left handed shooter.

Any lefties try one out yet?

I wouldn't shoot it left handed (and I own one). One mistake on cheek placement and you'll be picking brass out of your teeth. This video shows it can be done but I wouldn't try it on a regular basis.

At least with an AR, you have the brass deflector. The T97 wasn't intend to be shot by lefty...

I can fondle mine all I want, but I can't sell the thing. It's nice to legally fondle something that the CBSA and RCMP think is too dangerous for the majority of the population to own. I guess I'm just special.

It is a shame..... i really like the Type 97. But now i have to fork out over twice as much to get a xcr.

Good luck in court against the RCMP on the T-97 thing.
