Type-97

I tested my 97 vs. my M4 configured Ar15. The 97 is a cool rifle but not as good IMHO as an AR. If you use the search facility you should be able to find this review.

As for optics you need the rail that Clobb is working on. The factory scope is cute but has a tiny field of view and the reticle is too fine to acquire easily.

Thanks again for the help with my rail project Recce:cheers:

Keep a copy of the registration certificate with you, if a cop or a range nazi comes after you, tell them to talk to the CFC.

It is a very cool rifle. A bunch of guys have shot mine and they all love it. Yeah the controls are not very handy, but thats not a huge deal. They are accurate and the ergonomics apart from the controls very good.

When they come in at $850 and with the scope mount that Clobb is working on this will be a great package. How else are you going to get that bullpup (legal) experience without paying $3300 for a TAVOR? And no disrespect but they don't seem to be exactly problem free and the greatest thing since sliced bread from what I have read here.
