Type 97NRR vs Type 97 CSR?

Hey, we can never know which direction our government will go in 10-20 years, better to give it a good name right off the bat imo

So we get manufacturers to make rifles all look like normal hunting rifles and ship a tacticool stock in the same box that we can dress it up in when it gets to our house, problem solved :)

Sure. Like bullpup stocks..... Er..... Nevermind. I guess they can make stocks illegal too.

Point is there are bigger things we can change besides gun names. Like laws that make no sense.

Agreed. Can do both though, and still think "United Not-Communist States in America" is kinda silly for a name along with "Non-Restricted Rifle" :p

Well, given "non restricted" is a legal term, changing it would require changing laws. Which as I said, is more important than rebranding to meet the needs of the emotionally sensitive left.

I heard that NSR actually stands for North Sylvia Rifle however I personally can't substantiate that. My guess is the AK and the AR were not subject to unfair legislation for the characters which represent said rifle model.

What about "United non-communist states of America" :) dude got a point though. Need a proper acronym!!!

Armalite Rifle number 15's acronym has become attacked and demonized by the left. How sanitized can you get?

It's a name. If one wants to attribute emotional characteristics to a name to push their agenda, they will. It won't matter what it's called. Don't pander to them.

With all this name fear, maybe kimber should change its name. They wouldn't want to be confused for kinder surprise candy and get banned too in the US.

"Norinco Sporting Rifle"?
