type of shotgun shells on geese & ducks, & why?

Don't get much brand shotgun or rifle shells where i live, like to try those Challenger shells, actually like to try a lot of different brand shells!

I used to shoot alot of federal speed shok, I'm now making the switch over to Score 3" 2's. My gun seems to throw them really well and terminal performance on birds has been fantastic

Been wondering about Score ammo. I assume it's decent stuff? Might have to pick up a couple flats.

Well I seem to have good results with it, and for a fairly light load of 1 1/8oz in a 3" hull it seemed to outperform any 3" 1 1/4 2's speed shok that I used to run. Add to the package that it's cheaper and produced in Canada, I'll be stocking up on it.

I hope if you try it that you enjoy it as much as I do, I'd hate to hype it up and have guys not like it lol.

Will wait for swinginberries' review..... Been buying Kent faststeel by the flat, but a cheaper alternative would be great....

Be sure to let me know how you like them Swinginberrys. I was the only guy running them in my group this year so I'm interested in hearing someone else's point of view. If you guys are interested, keep in contact throughout the spring as I'll be using them to kill whitey.

Winchester Supreme Drylok. I don't shoot high volume enough for the slightly higher price to be an issue for me, and I have had excellent clean kills with this stuff. Like so many things with wing shooting, if you're confident in it, you shoot well with it. Hard to get right now, which sucks. I like the drylok in particular because I hunt the bay of fundy and the salt can get into unsealed shells and corrode the shot. If it wasn't for that I'd probably have stuck with fasteel, but I had problems related to corrosion and damp powder. BB for Canada's, 2s I'd ifs likely to be a mix of goose and duck, 3s for big ducks, 4s for teals/woodies.

I find that challenger super mag #2 hits the best, my gun does not like the cheaper winchester. The challenger super mag has dropped every duck I've shot at so far.

pattern pattern pattern! u will be absolutely amazed at what you find. some shells put twice the number of pellets in a 30 inch circle as the next brand in one particular gun, switch guns and its the opposite. both shells start out with the same.

True that. Nothing like a big mallard that's been on barley or peas for about 2 weeks.

The local restaurant does a thing called "Duck Supper". You bring the ducks and they close the restaurant and cook it up for you free of charge. Just tip at the end of the night. Best damned meal I've had in a restaurant in years. Wish I had known how good it was when I was going out there twice a year for hunting and vacation.
