Here we go, did my initial shooting with the Typhoon Maxi F12 yesterday and here are my feedback . To be honest I did not expect F12 to run 100% from the factory.
First 4 rounds of full power slugs it wont fully eject the empties, the next 6 feeds and ejects good
With the SB Special Slugs ( 15 rounds), ejection was good but failed to pick up a round from the mag, suspecting of a short stroking . Unfortunately only brought these round and ran out time because of a an important appointment. Same with the 15 round birds birdshot( 2.75”,7.5 3 drams ) it will eject but will fail to pick a round.
I am positive after a few more rounds the SG will settle down. The good news is that the Typhoon shoots straight with slugs 2.” at 50 yards and less than 1” at 25. Was using Holosun510C for the shoot and Uzkon 10 rounds pump mag. One thing though, it is a struggle to seat the fully loaded pump mag on a close bolt. Will go again tomorrow to the range for further shooting the F12. If you have some tips or advice with regards to the gun and mags, you’re more than welcome to comment and share. Almost forgot, Tacord muzzled brake works.

Mags need to be tuned a bit. Try opening up the rear lips to allow the round to sit higher in the mag. They are ammo sensitive for sure. Heavy trap or game loads work well but light trap can be finicky. I’m debating on opening up the gas system to offer more dependable cycling on mine.

Day 2, Fed Trubul and Rem full power slugs now works 100%( 10 rounds each). S&B occasionally still having some ejection and feeding issues, maybe 3 out of 25 rounds .. For Birds using 50 rounds of Score 7.5 2.75” 1300 fps and Challenger Handicap( 50 rounds) and Fed 7.5, 1 1/8 , 3 drams ( 25rounds) ran 100%.
After shooting around 180 rounds for 2 days, noticed that the Maxi Forearm have some rattle, hope its not the same nut thats holding the barrel in place. theycallmeike, thanks for the tip about the mags, looking for some fix to make insertion easier for the pump mags

It’s common for the handguard to rattle loose. Just use the supplied tools to sung her up. It’s not the same nut that holds the barrel in place, but that one also can get loose.

What is the issue you’re having with inserting the mag? Is it having a hard time when filled to max capacity and inserting on a closed bolt ?

Yes, its a struggle to insert full cap in close bolt, tempted to cut a fee coils, having second thoughts of cutting , might have problem finding a replacement spring.

Don’t cut the spring. You need all of the stored energy to move those heavy shells in the mag. Pull the mag apart and massage the bottom of the follower so it has some more compression with the 10th round in the mag. That will give you the clearance to allow the mag to insert on a closed bolt. About 1/8” or so is all you need. Careful not to remove too much material. Baby steps. You don’t want the follower to rock front to back and cause a jam.

Was thinking of that too, bit was not sure if it will help, unless the follower is touching the base pad on full compression. Thanks

You should have about 1/2 to 3/4 shell diameter of space left when fully loaded which is more than enough room to seat the mag on a closed bolt. These will not fall into the magwell like a PMag does on an AR and will need to be rammed in pretty good to seat. The Typhoons run two mag stop pins in the well so you can't over insert it and cause too much upward pressure on the bottom of the carrier which will cause the bolt to hang up.
