I'm thinking of selling/trading my Glock 20. I see alot of stuff about the different generations. What is the difference and how does it effect the value? I just don't want some turd slinger trying to chisle me down with an argument I don't know anything about.

I find some die hard's actually prefer the Gen3's because of the poor reliability perception the early hiccups gave to the Gen4. Personally, I would look at condition and round count. People seeking the new ergonomics of the Gen4 may try to offer you less but then it becomes your decision to sell or not.

I'm assuming you have a Gen3, if not just reverse the argument.

P.S. You'll probably be selling on the EE, so I expect you to ask for NIB pricing :)

I've been hunting everywhere and can't find one that is currently for sale. The only price I found for a new Gen 3 is $750 and it showed out of stock. I can't even tell if that price is even current. Mine is a Gen 3, the condition is VG with Tru Glo night sights (kind of cheap but they work). I have the original sights, plastic case, lock, and two mags. If I sell it I've got some other stuff to go with it, but I'm considering a trade and I have no idea what a fair price is. Hard to make a good deal if your being offered a good price and you think your getting screwed.

Fair price? anyone?

You don't need to worry about comparing your gen 3 g20 to a gen 4 yet.
The only choices out there right now are gen 3 in regular fat grip and the smaller SF grip.

It's pretty safe to assume that his G20 is not a "poor reliability" gen 4.
