Actually I think that Browning and Winchester are owned by the same $$money$$:D

Some parts like the invector plus tubes are interchangable probably because they use the same backbore technology and dimensions. Other than the tubes and bore your 101 is a different gun than the Browning Superposed and the Browning Citori and other than its cosmetic outward appearance it is not like the old Winchester 101. But all that is really not all that important. You have chosen a very nice and good quality firearm. Congratulations! Have Fun!

Sorry for jumping in.

Would this Winchester 101 Light over/ under be good for trap/ skeet or other clay sports?

Skeet guns and sporting clay guns are basically stocked with field stock dimensions and will work fine in a field shooting situations seeing as both games were designed to mimic field hunting. ATA trap guns are a different design as mentioned and for all the obvious reasons mentioned will not work in the field. If you are shooting 16yd singles or ata doubles you could do just fine with a sporting gun handicap would be a different situation . It sounds like you need a good quality over and under to shoot in general and are not planning on becoming a world class competitor ,so spend as much money as you can on the gun best suited to your needs and don;t get all caught up in the tech, nonsense . I have shot trap and skeet for 30 plus yrs AA 16yd with a model 12 vent rib field stocked gun. Remington 3200 with a field stock 30'' full&mod.A class. BT 99 with a standard trap stock 25yd. Remington 3200 skett gun.
