I don't know how many Canadian guys know about this so I'm posting about it... so you have plenty of time to plan... It's going to fill up I'm sure...

There's a US F-Class National Championship happening in Lodi, Wisconsin from Sept 30 to Oct 4, 2008.

you can check out the details (schedule dates, yardages) here and please do...

This is real early notice so things might change but I really doubt it cause there will be international folks showing up for this one.

Sept 30, 2008 is a practice day then the fun starts.

We really should show up for this guys, as many as we can.

I flipped it back and forth for a bit but I'm going and there are 3-4 others from the east that I think are going... two more for sure we've booked rooms and Karin Liebetrau will be sending out kits shortly and invitations to those who need them. I got no permission to be naming names at this point of who's going but we can get a list up quick enough... There's a Best Western near there... not sure how many rooms they got etc... but we can get to the mechanics later... I'm just looking for interest in the matchup.

I would really like to know if any guys north of them in Canada and from out west are thinking and planing on going we should all hook up there eh?

They got 1200 yards there too... just so you know. There only one match of 1200 and plenty of other stuff to shoot... for 1200 you'd need about 10 moa above your 1000 yard comeup... 6.5 .284

There's some kind of cattlemen convention happening during this time so you need to be thinking about rooms early.

they got camping facilities if you do that and I do sometimes but I dunno end of September, first week October maybe...

I didn't get a round count but there's plenty of time to figure that one out...

I'd love to see a bunch of us down there...

so let's go!

John, I'm thinking hard about this one for sure. Might be a tight year with the CFRC (and hopefully the F Class thing again) and what we've got out west. The BC boys put on a real good Prov's and it's now hooked up annually with Douglas Ridge in Oregon that seems to end just about a day after I should have left for Ottawa. Last year we couldn't even scramble enough Canadians for a pick up team at the PNW. I'm hoping for a better turnout this year.

I want to shoot them all and I hate to have to choose matches. I was talking to Larry B and Jim M at the Arizona palma and they also said they'd like to see a bunch of us come down there. The same thing happened last year in BC. A bunch of them came for the Prov's and the International Team match. Then only two of us showed up for the PNW long range portion in Oregon. The US always seems to patronize our events but we, as a group, don't want to or can't reciprocate. In all fairness I think we should double our efforts to attend the Wiscosin affair.

Cheers, Glen

thanks for the post Glen...
I just want to go... I've never done a shoot in the US yet, the paper chase...

It's way after our normal stuff so there's no excuse there other than loss of work... October's a weird month sometimes i get work sometimes I don't...
I feel a little embarrassed. They come up here and not many of us go down there... I still can't do Raton in 2008 and not in 2009 because Bisley is 2009 and that's a costly one. 2008 I've elected to shoot as much of as I can... not that one day in and out stunt I pulled this year... ridiculous...

As Terry said to me for Lodi it's up by 6 there by 6... i was just wondering looking at the map northwards and thinking I wonder who might be coming from the west...

I still have to get out west too... not sure when that's going to happen... I really want this Bisley thing... I can't wait another 3-4 years for the next big one after it... the time is ripe now and believe or not I'm no-way ready at this point. I'll be in Lodi hope you can make it.

Thanks John, I just got the email from Dr. T and it will be interesting to see what comes of it. I want to do Phoenix again in February, then one of the March Madness things in California, then APRA, SPRA, BCRA, Oregon, Ottawa, Lodi, and finally the SOA at Raton. I've booked 2 weeks in August and I'm calling in sick for the rest.

Cheers, Glen

Terry, the nice thing is; January starts sick days all over again. For '07 I had 21 days for holidays and 108 off on sick leave. Kaff, Kaff, Sniffle, Sniffle. Feels like I'm going to have a relapse about April.

I had a blast everywhere I went. Baby didn't get new shoes last year neither.
Cheers, Glen

John, Your alive!!!

John,

Glad to see you haven't left the planet. Did the action and barrels arrive yet? It might be a nice courtesy to at least send an email or make a phone call.

Lodi

Hey Terry,

There is a five day match at Lodi in the middle of June. If you want to go and play on the range, let me know. Plus Tim North is close by and we can visit the rifle works. I'll bring the rifle and ammo to save you the paper work if yours isn't back by then.

I just checked out the website...the 1st day looks like it is dedicated to 4 man team matches. The rest of the week is individuals and 2 man teams. So far my calendar is open, I look forward to showing you how to shoot for 4 days.:p Don't you worry, my paperwork is ready by June. Actually it would be a good warm up for the Nats.

Glen, can I get a job with your outfit??? I got 15 days for holidays, worked extra time (7.8 days) to get 7.2 days extra off and took 3 days off sick. Little wonder you get to shoot so much man. Need a IT guy Glen???
