It's literally a shot in the dark if it works or not. It all comes down to how close in the lips of the magazine are and if it'll support the round in a manner that the gun can work with for chambering smoothly.

You COULD adjust the lips but technically if you did so to where it won't function in a regular .40 S&W M&P then you've created a prohibited device for your 9mm regardless of the fact of the markings on the magazine.

Also if you use the gun in any matches you would need to be darn careful to not load it with more than 10. Most competitions state 10 rounds in the rules for semi auto very specifically.

It pretty much depends on the mag. My Sig P226 .40 S&W mags will not function with 9 mm, the feedlips are too far apart and the rounds will either not feed or even just pop out with minimal handling. On the other hand, I've seen Glock .40 S&W mags work with 9 mm but not all that reliably. My advice, stick with the 9 mm mags and save money and frustration.

Beretta doesn't use clips.

these are clips;

I've just tried once to use in my SIGs and H&K 9mm some 40SW mags and had a lot of FTL
Have no experience with Beretta 96 mags, but one of my friends used both in his 92FS without issues...good to know that with Beretta works fine.

Been through this in a previous thread.

Turns out, that by popular opinion,

"Magazine" is synonymous with "Clip"

Stripper clip ,is exactly that, a "stripper clip".

:D

Regardless of what others also mistanely call them they are called "Magazines"
not a clip.. it's slany but wrong slang.. real shooters know this, so get with the program... unless you're a writer/producer of a low budget action film who doesn't know any better...

and to the OP, what the heck man ??!! you're only allowed 10 rnds, of which your Mags that are designed for the gun, do hold the legal max...so what's up with using 40 mag in 9mm gun ??!!

Bahaha, gotta join the fun

I bring nothing to this thread...

AND THAT'S THE WAY IT IS!

Clips load magazines.

Magazines load firearms.

As too the OP, I don't know about this particular firearm, but I have successfully used factory 40 Glock mags in a 9mm pistol. That is the only platform that I've been successfull with thus far.

I'm not sure that it's worth the money to attempt it myself, and suggest that you find someone who already owns 40 mags and try them in your pistol before making purchases.
