Uber Long Range shoot

I wasnt frickn drunk....much

ANYWAY....The shoot WASNT cancelled-I had two other RSOs in attendance

The big Hairy Bully just didnt know that

Several people came out and had a good time trying to see the targets set up by me on Friday

Robbed!!!

I think compensation is in order. YOU will pay for everyone's fuel next time. YOU will buy a box of whiskey. YOU will be the firing line b!tch. And YOU will do what you are told for the rest of the weekend.

Put more food in the fridge if you plan on leaving us hanging out in your house teasing your dogs and drinking your hootch.

By the way, you may want to check out the footage of your camcorder. I for sure want a copy. That stuff is gold!!!!!!!!!!

I am thinking I am going to have an auction and see what I can get for being an eyewitness to the whole affair and spilling my guts. I think Klunk it's only fitting you get the first crack at it since you have the most to loose!!!

Ahhhhhh, I love having dirt on someone else. :dancingbanana:

Let's get down to the truth of the matter. I, for one, made plans to come out to Wainwright instead of driving the same distance to BC to shoot this last weekend with a friend who built up his own range in the mountians. I loaded ammo and made it to Red Deer, asked a huge favor of a friend and stayed the night only to find out the shoot was cancelled due to a bunch of guys acting irresponsible. Rumours are coming out of the woodwork and I think that setting the record straight would probably be of best interest for everyone.

I am in the same boat you are. Lots of time in the reloading room. A range trip to zero. And feeding my diesel to Wainwright and back.

I was at Klunk's when his accident happened. Were we acting irresponsible, no.

Am I getting fun at his expense, damn right!!

I was the one who got you not to drive to Wainwright. I am sorry if you are pumped. Klunk and I did not at the time prior to his accident talk about the other RSO's that were going to be there. As I don't personally know them I had no idea.

I hope you are not getting the wrong impression of our humor. Military members are notoriously hard on one another and although it may not grab your funny bone we are making light of the incident.

Please be assured I did everything I could at the time to cause the least amount of hard feelings and disapointmnet to all involved. Plus I had no involvement in the running of this event. I was just showing up to shoot.

Klunk is a stand up guy (and many people will back me up on this) but bad luck always picks the sh!ttiest of times.

If I were Klunk I too would want my privacy kept to just that.

To all:

For all intents and purposes, Bigbully made an exceptional effort to contact all who indicated an interest that the event was cancelled.

I was one of the people NOT contacted:(. No skin of my arse 'cause I live here. I never found out until I arrived at the range control building; and not believing the news, I logged unto CGN, and there was bigbully's message:mad:

Myself and one other RSO decided to keep the range open for those who never got the message, and stayed there for several hours. Bigbully and Klunk had no knowledge of our actions. This courtesy was extended for Klunk as a friend, and all his efforts putting this together. The range he secured is exceptionally long, over rolling hills, and you can see you bullet splash out to 1Km easy

Anyways, back to bigbully's efforts.....only one other person showed. (besides the two RSO's). I'm guessing that the message got through.

So let's see it for what it is...an unfortunate accident that precluded a much lauded event. Schitt happens, and sometimes it costs money. This is not the last you've heard of any long distance events here, and I hope that this does not preclude future attendance by you guys. You just know that Klunk will wrap himself in bubble wrap the week prior to the event to ensure it's success.

I should be living in Red Deer by the end of the summer. Long range stuff is about my main interest at this time.

If it was gonna be an annual event, I would be there for next spring. But when something comes up to cause the event to be cancelled for unknown reasons, fine.

But it has been suggested that some shinanagins have gone on to lead up to the cancellation of the event. Suggests no respect for other people's time and travel expence.

And if there was a serious problem, I do appologise for beaking off.

Klunk o.k.?

so which ear was it the right or left?
for myself when i got the call that the shoot was cancelled i was kinda PISSED but none the less i really appriciated the heads up rather than driving all the way there. whatever did happen is what it is and cant be changed i will not hold any bad feelings towards klunk and look forward to the next long range match. PS IT WAS THE LEFT ONE WASNT IT

Klunk, If you go to all the trouble again to set this shoot up in the future I'd be happy fo the chance to shoot at that facility.

Having been to one of Klunks shoots a few years back, I can say that it was very well done so what ever happened last weekend must have been for good reason.

Klunk, I wasn't able to make it to this last shoot anyway but if you decide to put on another one, and it lines up OK with work, then I'll be there for sure.

Besides with friend like Hakx around, if BigBully decides to rip of your other ear I'm sure things will still work out.:D

Klunk

Hey Hakx....I'm starting to feel sorry for you:) Having to put up with Klunk all on your own......... that is. IIRC he and " thebigbully" were late last year for the 500yd match, then waylaid for the "Hezbolla Invitational" and now this:D
I think perhaps you should run for the boss position of the club next year!!

On a serious note, will you being running another :sniper:match this year?

:DI am positive that there will be another kick at the cat for this. The range that Klunk secured is idea, and the lanes are schitt simple to set up. It is just a B.S. Session / "run what you brung" so the club ain't blowing anybody for prizes, etc. It's a good (and somewhat humbling:redface:) time.

Klunk had gongs set at irresponsible distances:eek:. I couldn't hit some of the farther ones so I guess that I am not that irresponsible;). We had to use the GPS and truck to range them, cause the our little commerical rangefinders just didn't have the jam. I will definitely take a more active role in the next one. I willl "T" up a date with Klunk.

This time I want to have it on a Saturday so we can head to the JR Ranks Mess for a sasparilla afterwards:dancingbanana:, then openely mock eachother for our lack of ability:slap:.
