Guys I have a 1861 Uberti Colt Navy Repro that I need help with....New to blackpowder and would like your thoughts on..which round and powder I should look to p/u. Also how much powder?
I'm in the GTA so where can I p/u these things?

FFFg blackpower or Pyrodex "P" substitute.... .375 dia round ball...Cap `n ball take a dia. ball a little larger than the chamber...As a matter of fact, when you seat the ball, some of the lead will be shaved off by the cylinder mouth....BUT, since you say that you are new to blackpowder shooting, the FIRST thing you should do is to buy a book on Blackpowder shooting...do NOTHING else first....A good intro book would be, "Blackpowder Handbook" by Sam Fadala...4th edition....Shooters choice may have it...Also their gunsmith shoots the Black stuff (Gary)...Read the book, then read it again before you go any further.....Welcome to the "dark side"....:D
