Uberti 1876 carbine

Thinking of getting a Uber to copy of win 1876 carbine in 45-75. I’m wondering a few things
1 Uberti dealer in canada
2 availableity of brass
3 dies, bullet mold etc
4 would I be better off ie easier go with 45-60
 
y2k: Chances are, you've already done your research. So you likely have this info. A quick search turned this up:

Prophet River might be a good place to order an 1876 from. Though you may have a local Uberti dealer that could order one in.
Brass can be reformed from 348 Winchester. Also, .50-90. Rusty Wood currently shows 348 brass in stock
RCBS lists reloading dies for 45-75.
Accurate Molds should have a compatible bullet mold

In the end... going with .45-60 might be a more logical choice. Brass, components, dies and molds far easier to source. If 45-60 brass not readily available, can be made by cutting down .45-70.

My choice is 45-60. Trim 45-70 cases to 1.89 inches. Using a 300 cast bullet there's plenty of loading data using a couple of smokeless powders. IMR 4198 seems to be the favorite.
 
I have had two Uberti 76 carbines both in 45/60 .The first one I had to thin the rim down on the 45/70 brass(after I cut it to length ) to get the round to chamber.The one I currently have I don’t have to do that ,I just trim the cases and I m good.Wolverine Supplies has one stock just do a search for Taylors &Co.In my opinion 45/60 is the way to go.I managed to shoot a nice buck with the first one I had.Heres a couple of pics.The blued frame model is the one I currently have IMG_0689.jpegIMG_1610.jpeg

I’m still enjoying your first 1876 SRC and it is shooting amazing with 60 grains 2F OE, a card wad and a soft cast Accurate 46-305C cast bullet with spg lube. Unique loads with the same bullet powder coated is a great, fun load. I’m going to fit a Marbles Bulleye rear sight for my older eyes.
 
For one in 45/75 your best bet would be having Prophet River order one in.They use to make a North West Mounted Police 76 carbine in 45/75 but I m not sure if they still make that model.It has a blued frame ,military rear sight and NWMP stamped in the buttstock

I have just read on the CAS forum that Uberti is not making their 1876 models in 45/75 danymore but I bet a few in that caliber might exist unsold somewhere.
