Nice mild day ,so I took my 1866 Uberti in 22lr out for a woods walk.Didn t see any rabbits but it was nice to get outView attachment 1072116

I have other Rimfire dreams at the moment so trying to focus instead of getting sidetracked.

I have found the current Uberti 66 in 22lr to be of better quality of those that were made in the 70s(I have had both)The current Ubertis mag tube cap unscrews for loading the tube while the earlier versions have a slot cut in the tube with a sliding cover to load the shells.Also parts for the later versions won t fit the earlier versions as well.Some of the earlier carbine versions have a saddle ring where the current versions do not.A rifle version with a 24 inch Oct barrel is also available but is very heavy to tote around
