quick question, havung a hard time getting full lead 44 40 is it safe to fire 44 40 winchester hunting loads through this gun? Worried about pressure maybe? Having a funny feeling not to do this thanks

If it's current ammo, the guns are proofed for it. I've got two 44-40 revolvers and shoot both factory and reloads.

I have some old Dominion FNSP's and it's mild to shoot. Good 75 yard deer load!
