Uberti or Pietta?

From what I can see at the Cimmaron web site that's who sells Pietta cartridge guns under their own name. Likely some sort of exclusive distributor agreement. Sort of like how Tanfoglio is marked and sold in the US by EAA.

I've wondered why I only ever see Pietta black powder cap&ball guns under their own name in the US. And that would be because the cartridge revolvers are distributed and sold by Cimmaron.

I wonder when they switched, as I have had a couple of Cimmaron revolvers and they were both made by Uberti.

The majority of Cimarron's Cartridge Revolvers are made by Uberti. However, some of them are made by Pietta. A good example is the 1873 SAA Man With No Name guns.
When you look on their site, under Specifications, it usually will tell you if it's Uberti or Pietta made.
