Hey all,

Still stuck between these two

Leupold VX-3L 4.5-14x50
Sightron SIII 8-32x56 LRMOA

Looking for benchrest shooting out well past 1000meter at the Edson Range with my 338-378 Weatherby Magnum.........No Hunting.

Which one would you mount?

Regards

Honestly, neither but of the two the Sightron SIII will be the better suit for the application ( I have this scope and it is a very nice piece of glass) you have in mind. Personally, and given the parameters you have stated, I would look at the NF BR 12-42x56 which will be a much better scope and will not be stupidly more pricey than the SIII.

If your looking to shoot out past 1000 and there are the only choices you have.
The Sightron hands down. I have both scopes you mention here. Magnification will be the key thing.
I have the same Sightron in my practice gun. Works great, dials well, always comes back to to zero.
The glass is pretty good. And for the price an excellent value
And as always there are going to be people that say buy a Nightforce or there is better glass out there. And yes there is, but not at this price point. I have shot my Nightforce scopes side by side with my sightron. Yes there is a difference at low light. But for double the money there should be.
So pick up a 8-32 Sightron and don't look back. There are some for sale on here at times.
Or grab a new one. There are sight sponsors on here that sell them.
