Ugliest antique Webley ever! (abomination by Bubba!)

I suspect it was in extremely good shape as NOS (new old stock) Parts for those guns are rarer than the guns. I strongly suspect I would have a very difficult time getting any parts should one break.

Are you guys discussing this Webley or some hypothetical Bubba job?

CN1 means Canadian Navy. Dingus had one with that one it, as did 1897 as I recall. Premium item for us Canucks.

They make bluing solution every day...

Side-tracked talking about a Rogers and Spencer that would have been worth a bunch more, had someone not installed a vent rib and dayglo sight on it. Kinda neat looking piece, just not what I would build from a nice example. From a box of salvage mismatch parts, on the other hand... maybe.

Agree on the bluing solution. A crappy coat of paint isn't bubba, IMO. Bubba works with an angle grinder, a coarse file (if at all) and a hacksaw and welder.

The real question on this example, is, What's it like underneath the black sludge?

Cheers
