Ugliest bore pics

Who's got (or had) the ugliest bore?

Here's my entry, Marlin 30-30. Can't get anymore of the copper out (maybe some bore butter?).
500+ rounds, she shoots great and holds 2 MOA out to 200y

That bore looks like it was threaded
I guess it becomes copper lined eventually, which might make it more accurate?

Yup, apperantly she was rifled dry.....

Never had an accuracy issue (surprisingly)

Accuracy is good because the bullet is so scared to touch the sides it goes perfectly straight right down the middle

It's very surprising what you see in the bore when you have a good camera to snake down the bore, Bought a bore camera last fall on sale for $89. reg.$299. and it comes in handy for a lot of other hidy holes too. It fits 22- any size.

You'd think, but it's a JM. Made right before the factory closure though.

A lot of the Stainless Marlins have barrel chatter (not this bad). It's actually tough to see when looking down the bore. A bore light from the chamber doesn't show it.

Rather nasty looking bore but if it shoots well keep on shooting it.
I think after 20 years of use the bore will only look better if you can keep up to the copper recovery method your using.

Keep in mind Marlin bores are still broach rifled, no hand lapping here!......Pretty normal actually for a Marlin.

Funny thing as OP stated....it still will shoot well.

Few will believe this at first suggestion but the best copper fouling remover I've ever used is plain old spray nine. Let it soak for 15 mins then run a patch through and be amazed. Worst barrels I've owned for fouling have been Remington and Marlin, the Marlin was a JM as well. Have a Ruger that picks up huge amounts of copper but only off Barnes, doesn't mind conventional bullets.

Man, that is one chattered lookin' tube O.P. I've seen some Savage barrels that looked almost as rude, but the suckers still shot good. I'll give Ardent's Spray Nine method a go to save on Wipe Out usage, but will follow the Spray Nine treatment with a water soaked patch to remove the acids, followed by dry patching and finish with a coat of Wipe Out to protect the bore.

Please explain.....

It was made for looking into area's in a car where you can't get your eye's, heater core and dash board and numerous other places that you can't get to, 28in camera cable so good for all rifle bore's which I bought it for. Could be used for many different idea's????. Just use your imagination??
