Yes, just had one recently and was kind of wondering where that scope was before being used on me.

Keep in mind Marlin bores are still broach rifled, no hand lapping here!......Pretty normal actually for a Marlin.
Funny thing as OP stated....it still will shoot well.
So that's what Marlin referred to as "MIcro Groove"!
Lol. Yeah, the twist rate is 1:10 AND 1:0.125...
I can see how the radial machine marks were made on the lands/internal bore by a rotating reamer, but what's really got me puzzled is how did the same marks get engraved in the bore grooves as well. All grooves are cut or swaged by a longitudinal moving tool not a rotating tool as the markings in this photo suggest.
