Nice to meet you all , looks like an amazing forum not so many in the uk.
I am an avid hunter mainly Fox / deer / hares
I do a little bird shooting but not the best shot with a shotgun

Have several shotguns and several rifles

17 hmr cz :204 Sako / 22 s&m 22 15 /
22-250 tikka / 243 tikka / 308 rem 783

NOC pic 50 r / 2x pulsar c50 / zeiss swarozki
And a axion spotter and a oryx

You guys have far more equipment choice

than us … after a stock for my 783 .. nothing In the uk .. I believe Canada can ship to uk .. any recommendations please ..

Oxford not a bad place for hunting but don’t have the wide open expanses like you .. more field n woodland .. hope one day to get over for some hunting .. my daughter in law from Canada maybe one day

First off, welcome new guy. We are all suffering under various versions of the commonwealth Nazism. My sympathies to you for your horrific government and oppressive laws.

Now, for the good stuff. We buy most of our stuff from the US, very little is from Kanada itself. You don't say what kind of stock you are looking for for the 783, but Boyds Stocks in the US will supply most traditional styles of hunting stocks. If you want a more tacticool style of stock, then MDT in Kanada has a fair number of offerings with high quality and reasonable prices.

Depends on where you go. Eastern Kanada has lots of forest and less open spaces, western Kanada has a very large amount of open space. We can often drive for close to an hour at highway speeds and still be in the same county (in western Kanada, that is).

Hi mark thanks for the info .. I have looked on a few sites .. my guns a mix of laminate and polyma . Like the look of the mdt make the 783 a little more pretty . The gun shoots well but very ugly .thanks for the links !!
 
um... you want to hunt your daughter in-law?

I see stocks for the 783 at auction fairly often. Check icollector.c om but you'll likely want to look at the first few lots for shipping & contact info for the various auction houses.
