I picked up the same gun. Large backstrap suits my big mitts well, vastly prefer the ergos to my buddy's Glock. That being said the Glock is a fine weapon, just doesn't suit me well. S&W, Glock, Ruger, Springfield are all good guns. Pick them up and see what feels right to you.

I had a G22 and wasn't fussy on it. I like the 9mm variants so I just blamed the calibre. I now have an M&P40 coming, so I'll give it another shot. If I like the M&P40, it will be the Glock I had a problem with, not the round.

Actually, after some trigger time on my M&P22, I am converting to M&P over Glock. Ergos just work better for me. I'll still keep my Glocks (my G17 was my first pistol) and I just love the G26.
 
Why not another steel frame? Variety of course! I also like the reduced weight a polymer frame lends and want to see if that assists in tighter groupings over a longer range day.

Also, I find that the more aggressive looking, cutting edge and higher end guns are all going polymer and I want to see what all the fuss is about.

I already own a hi-power, the CZ and a 1911 so its time for something different. I've already ordered the Walther PPQ in 9mm (wish I coulda got it in 40) but also want to add a 40 to the collection.
 
There are some really good prices on RTF 2's right now.

Do you think it warrants purchasing over a Gen 4 (with the adjustable back strap)?
