Just ordered an Ultimate Cliploader from Canada Ammo.

They are speed loaders for Ruger Mark II and III's, and Browning 22's.

Has anyone tried one out?

Yep, I have one. Reloads mags pretty fast. You have to tune it a little, basically just turn one bolt to set it to the right length. One problem I have with mine is that sometimes an extra bullet comes out after I remove the mag and it falls away. But usually I just hold it over the box of bulk so the extra one goes back in there. Still well worth it, much less time reloading, more time shooting!

I have had mine to the indoor range about 3 times now, there are about 6 of us who have Ruger MKII, MKIII, 22/45 & I have a Buckmark.

It works really well on the standard Rugers and in my Buckmark, it will work for the 22/45 with a little fiddling..... About 6 different guys have asked me where I got mine so they can order one themselves.

I have also had a few "extra" rounds fall out of the loader but it is usually the 10th round so I just put it in the mag.

All in all I am impressed with the cliploader, it was cheaper then an extra mag so it is affordable.

Cheers

Mine works well, except that it can be fussy about ammunition. For instance it doesn't like lead bulletted Winchesters while American Eagles work flawlessly. My 9 and 11 year daughters can run it, while trying to shoot me into the poorhouse.

It's about the only way to make shooting bulk rimfire expensive. I can fire off one magazine reloading it everytime, probably about 2-3 times per minute if I really want to, which I usually do. Sometimes that extra round comes out, but it's only annoying if it gets turned sideways and jams up the loader.

My wife and I both use it, and it's a great piece of kit. I as well foound the occasional round dropping out, and the fiddling with the screw on the bottom helped solve that.

It works on my Ruger MK3, and my High Standard Trophy mags. also works on my buddy's Browning Buckmark. the High Standard has the thumb button on the right hand side of the mag.

There are great and we use ours a lot. One comment is it doesn't like some "wax" coated bullets. They don't slide though the Cliploader/mag very well, and tend to gum things up after a while.

We clean the steel mags with brake cleaner to get the wax out, but only use a dry cloth to wipe it out of the Cliploader. (I haven't checked to see if the brake cleaner will damage the plastic)

Brake cleaner will definitely damage plastic. If it wipe it all out maybe it will take a little longer. I ruined a 25rnd steel lips mag by spraying brake cleaner into it. Destroyed it in no time :(

Do these work with the Ruger Mk.1's?

If you mk1 takes the mags with the follower button on the left hand side it will work (mine is a standard model with the a-100 on the frame under the grip). With the mk1 9 round mag, if that's what you are using (the 10 rnd'ers work to), I had to file out about 1mm or 2 to make the button notch deeper....else the mag doesn't go in to the loader far enough to press the detent button to allow the rounds to drop. Other than that, works great with my mk1 9 round mags.

I just ordered one from Can-Am the other day...Did my research for the cliploader on YouTube...looked pretty cool. I can't wait for it to get here as my thumbs are killing me and I just bought the Mk2 and my thumbs are killing me. A friend of mine has one of those thumb button extend-er gadgets that slides over the mag but I couldn't find any of them.
