In my Moose & Deer Hunting group we have: Two .338's, Two 7mm Mags, Two 30.06s, Two .270s., One 6.5X55 SE
All of us have 12 gauge Pump Shotguns also for rabbits and Waterfowl, most of us have .22s for Grouse/Squirrel/Groundhog hunting too.
Not arguing...Most Deer & Moose shots are 1 shot kills ( 100m or less usually).
Great advice on this site.

I didn't read the whole thread. Did anyone point out the fact that 270 winchester is legal in Southern Ontario, as the law says something about "nominal size". While 277cal is bigger than 275, it's nominally a 270, therefore it's good to go.

I own and use 30.06 and .270 cals. You would love either one!
