Think i may have just built my ultimate factory 10/22.
I do a lot of indoor plinking, its always in the black at 20 yrds

Deluxe sporter action and barrel
International laminate stock
Metal diy trigger
Apreture sites

Figured I should share. I really like it.

I first got into the expensive builds but prefer working with factory customization now.

You need to cut that barrel back... it looks "off."

OR...

... do a stock extension with an ebony tip.

I already had 3 10/22 when i bought the 22” sporter model which came with a knox stock so it was a parts gun to start with. I put the knox stock on my sons action and put the sporter action in a standard stock. I thought that looked pretty silly so popped it into the international stock and liked it right away. I removed a bit of material to make the nose cap fit and slapped the apreture sights on. Win94luver.. I have only shot it on the indoor range and am keeping it all inside a 2 inch circle at 20 yrds while standing. Give me any rifle it patterns the same past that....lol No doubt I will get better with practice. It balances directly under the magazine and has a great weight. I think it has sort of a mauser look.

My 10/22 modular takedown clusters those CCI stingers into one ragged hole at 50 yds ... shot after shot ... monotonously.
Pretty darn good for any rifle let alone a takedown.
Once I got that twist dial set right there was no looking back.
Tried several brands of 22LR ammo before I found the stinger 32 grain copper plated was the rifles 'sweetheart' ammo.
The modulars aren't cheap. They're over $700.
