I guess I just don't like anything SBR in 5.56. I like a longer barrel if I'm shooting that caliber it was designed for. That would leave a bullpup configuration 5.56 (FN 2000) or gear up for another caliber .300 AAC or 5.7mm (PS90) that is not disadvantaged by lower velocity from a shorter barrel.

What would I really want? A M3 Grease gun! Maybe a RFB! :D

I vote flame thrower for best PDW

bonus points for being unrestricted too

as for

short barreled rifle... well... shorty AR in .50beowulf

For ease of supply, maintenance, and feeding, I cant side with anything ther than a shorty AR in 5.56

There is cooler stuff out there. But can you get it? Can you feed it? What happens when it breaks?

The ultimate PDW is the one that is ready to go when needed.

But if PS90s were commonly available, readily repaired and ammo was abundant...

My preference would be for either an ~9" AR in something like .300BLK, ideally with one of the M231-type PDW stocks people seem to be making a serious attempt at again...

Naturally I'd love to get a look at the KAC machine.

I think the MP7 is way too speciality for me...useful on armoured people, I guess...but the 5.7 sucks hard enough that the 4.6 seems off the deep end to me. Really can't wait for the 3.2mm, mach 9, six grain bullet that I assume is coming and which a small (but not as small as I would hope) number of people will no doubt assure me is "lethaler than a AK".

Will that be available with a slide fire stock?

If you don't like them, that's OK. Someday you will realize what you are missing.:p I didn't vote FS2000, but I have one and it is one of the last guns I ever sell!

The FS2000 is a nifty gun. I like the trigger more than the Tavor, like the forward ejection port - but despise the lack of magazine compatibility. That's probably my biggest issue with it.
