My choice for sure.
I would say that rifle is a thing of beauty, I would take that rifle minus the scope.

Not a converted auto, a purpose built semi. It is a TNW 1919.
They only came in once from Marstar, and the US state dept has stopped issuing export permets for beltfeds. Your only chance is to snag one on the EE.
One was for sale recently for around $9000 if I remember correctly. That is a way inflated price, (Should be around $4500) but there are less then 10 in the country if I am not mistaken, and no more are forseeably coming in, so the guy can charge what he wants and will probably get it. There is also the semi auto MG-34, but they were reported to have various feed problems, so I passed up an oportunity to snag one a while back, before the US barred the export, still sad I missed out on it.
Belts longer then 5 are good to go provided they are of a design prior to 1945, which the 30-06 belt is, but to the extent of my knowlege you can only use period belts and links, not reproductions. It is some kind of historical exemption.
You should see the look on peoples faces when we bring it out to the range, everybody wants to try it. We are always willing to let them use it, we make up a bunch of 5 round belts and let everybody have a go of it. Somthing for everybody to remember.
I have not met one person yet who did not have a big grin on their face after seeing it.

It's black, has rails, and .338 Lapua is scary to over a kilometer

I never needed loctite, the previous owner had already upgraded & customized if with the loctite for me...
Was just waiting for someone to bite on this...Being an optimist, it shall be back in the non-rest category one day
