Ultimate Range Case...but one problem! Dealers please chime in!

That would be huge! Not to mention how much it would weigh. My Pelican 1750 weighs like 25 pounds dry, add another 17 pounds for my rifle and 4 mags. The case is so large it won't fit in my trunk! I wouldn't want to have to transport multiple rifles in a large Pelican weapons storage case unless I had a mercenary army. Not feasible for daily use, unless your air dropping your equipment.

Ya it would be. But it beats having to carry 4 seperate rifle cases.

Your killin the dream brutha!

How did you go about the hole gaskets

Hole gaskets are McMaster Carr part # 8507K14

Mocked it up with poster board to get the bends correct and make sure the holes were in the right place. Actually used one of my sons air soft guns during this stage. Much lighter then a real one and size wise they were the same.
Holes were cut using a 1 1/2 hole saw and a jig saw.
7 little mig spot welds to hold the inside wall to the part that the guns fit into and that divides the box and creates a well to hold ammo and or other stuff.

1/2 yard of grey felt and a can of spray on glue.

Had to order the gasket from McMaster Carr and buy the felt, all in I spent about $20.00.

This is what my home made case looks like ready for a trip to the range.

People at my club ask me all the time where I bought it and are surprised When I tell them it's home made..
It's not perfect but, didn't cost me much to make.

Made this about 5 years ago

I went with the custom foam route from these guys mycasebuilder.com

For a case I already had, they have a sweet program to use to make your foam.
