Actually, I was truly impressed with the forethought that went into the design of your special rifle - clearly they realized that inflation would undoubtedly result in an increase of the cost of a pay-phone call from the mere dime it was in 1967, to a quarter, then eventually to 35 cents ... they had all of those eventualities covered! :eek:

However, I was rather disappointed that they clearly didn't look into the future sufficiently far to allow for price increases beyond a total of 4O cents (... well, 41 cents, really ....) until it dawned on me that the designers of the rifle must even have predicted the invention and proliferation of cell phones! They knew it was unecessary to allow for more than about 40 cents a call because, when the price got higher than that, everyone would be carrying a cell phone anyway, and wouldn't need a pay phone! Truly Amazing! :D

(I concede defeat in the "Ultra-Rare Enfield Variant" contest!) ;)
 
That sported sniper is the reason that I have a new in the grease wrap No. 4 barrel salted away. One day, perhaps, something like that may fall into my hands.
 
And to think I GAVE that rifle away as part of a gun deal.........

SKSCanuck apparently neglected to mention the fact that the silver dollar is also missing, from the left side of the buttstock.

This is why I don't swap too many milsurp guns, I get taken to the cleaners every time............

Dig out the money! Save and keep the rifle and see how it shoots.
You could always send it to thrid line for a complete overhaul

Prob' done in an era when you could take your rifle into the bank with you as you got change. :D

Clean her up replace the missing coin, and sell her on the Guns America Auction board, and watch her go for $4.000. :D
 
Even to collectors anyways '67 silver coins are sold by weight, literally ! (Unless in exceptional condition or if they have something <very> special about them, like the infamous "diving goose" Dollar).

yes with the price of silver going up coins are going for their silver content not their collectability, unless they are a rare mistake.
