Actually, I was truly impressed with the forethought that went into the design of your special rifle - clearly they realized that inflation would undoubtedly result in an increase of the cost of a pay-phone call from the mere dime it was in 1967, to a quarter, then eventually to 35 cents ... they had all of those eventualities covered!SKScanuck said:Yes, but if your pinned down can you use a quarter from your stock to call in reinforcements....![]()
However, I was rather disappointed that they clearly didn't look into the future sufficiently far to allow for price increases beyond a total of 4O cents (... well, 41 cents, really ....) until it dawned on me that the designers of the rifle must even have predicted the invention and proliferation of cell phones! They knew it was unecessary to allow for more than about 40 cents a call because, when the price got higher than that, everyone would be carrying a cell phone anyway, and wouldn't need a pay phone! Truly Amazing!
