Hello,

Can anyone recommend an ultrasonic brass cleaner they’ve bought from Amazon or anywhere else? I’m sure it doesn’t need to be from a reloading company.

Thanks

Don't get the I sonic 2.5L. The planting for the tank corroded and fried the heater and internals. I got a full SS 3L and it's fine. But I no longer use my ultra sonic for brass, as it didnt get any cleaner than just dish soap and lemi shine and shake for a bit. I ended up getting a Lyman Cyclone wet tumbler and only way I do it now.

How long do you run it for in ultrasonic? And how much product? Do you know of a smaller unit or just 15L? Seems big

I use mine for lots of different items. Occasionally have wanted or needed a bigger tank.
The tank is full of just water most of the time and just use jars in different sizes full of cleaning fluids.
Anywhere from Kerosene to Simply Green concentrate. That way the main tank stays clean and doesn't have to be drained all the time.
Cleaning times varies on how dirty the parts are. 5 -15 mins is a good place to start.
Mine is sitting on a outside bench. The high pitch noise is a little annoying, I find hearing protection is needed.

This is a good vid.

I use the Hornady 2.0L cleaner with hot water, a teaspoon of Lemishine, and a squirt of Dawn dish soap. It does a good job on brass in a 30 min heated cycle. I tried the Hornady brass solution, it didn't impress me.

I clean up to 25-30 rifle cases placed vertically at a time, which is fine for my needs. The more brass in the tray, the less effective it becomes since the larger volume of material absorbs more energy.
