Yes you can... as i said earlier my Uncle use a $40 generic on that works better then my Hornady due to the timer and a larger capacity

Is it good to just use ultrasonic though? No tumbling/no stainless or anything else?

It is all I've ever done and have some brass that has been re-used 25 times now. No, it's not shiny but it works fine.

I've read some people feel the wet tumbling can damage case mouths. Have you had any trouble?

Ive never seen that wet tumbling did any damage to the brass in my experience.

No issue what so ever with mine but there was a post on selecting certain pins that may cause an issue ...can't find the posts yet but will look

There's an urban legend about case penning. It's mostly placebo effect.

I had a Isonic ultra sonic and well I tell you, don't use the vinegar/water/salt and dish soap solution in it. It will eat right thru the tank. But I tried different solutions and really didn't clean that well.

I just went back to my tumbler with lizard bedding aka crushed walnuts shells. Never had a issue with primer pockets.

Perhaps the brass is getting worn from use, and the cleaning just makes it noticeable.

I run CLR in mine. Makes em shiny and tank safe. Also helps prevent the scale that seems to build up almost instantly on anything that touches Alberta tap water.

I believe peening happens when there is not enough water in the tumbler or if it's overloaded, not sure if Big Ed said that

Went to stainlesstumblingmedia com, got the rebel 17 package. Despite being a US website, it shipped from a Richmond BC warehouse and was here the next day.
Same a thumblers unit except it's black, and has real bearings instead of bushings.
Highly recommend it.

The ultrasonic is still good for doing gun parts tho.

Same a thumblers unit except it's black, and has real bearings instead of bushings.

That is a great unit I have the smaller one and moved up to it and wow it's more like an industrial version

There are various sized ultra sonic cleaners available on Ali Express. Priced pretty good as well.
