Un att

I'm with you on that. Non-Corrosive for $300? Sold...

I can get corrosive stuff locally for $240 per crate, but what happened to the non-corrosive stuff? As if nobody carries it. Any word on that? I was gonna go and get a crate, but they went up 20% since last summer to the point of it not being worth my while to shoot surplus if I can get non-corrosive for $300

I think all the non-corrosive for cheap is gone. From what I remember from CanAm thread was that the stuff they had, Noricno silver box stuff, was all from the 90's and China unloaded the last of it recently and therefore no more of it was coming in. I have a few hundred rounds of it left that I am avoiding shooting unless I have too haha.

The UN Resolution on the Arms Trade Treaty would envision a voluntary restriction on exporter states to enforce reporting of and restriction on small arms to be exported to third world "unstable" states.

it does not provide for any restrictions for the export of small arms ( including ammunition) into first world states such as Canada.

I'd recommend reading the resolution before reacting to it.

I'm just quoting this so people will read it again and stop freaking the #### out.

Yeah, im just saying it will go up in price for a "fear" factor... Like gas, a gas plant is raided nationwide gas goes up even though our supply hasn't been touched... The UN ATT seems to just make the exporting country more responsible for where it ends up... IE Not in drug cartel or terrorist hands... Mind you when did Russian and china give a crap about the UN ? lol... Our supply will not dwindle nor disappear.

IF ANYTHING we can hope that the limited sales to such groups will only create a bigger surplus of arms and then hopefully decline the price for us ! lol... I still went and picked up a case anyways.

Well my prices are based on Canada Ammo pricing. He is selling 1200rnds of x39 for $299. That's .25 a round. He was also selling 1600rnds of .223 for $399, which is .25 a round.

I see Canada Ammo raised their prices on .223, but my preorder for .223 should still hold, so technically it's still the same price. :p

UPDATE: I will not be getting the preorder so right now x39 is cheaper. :)

Link to said $399 .223 crates ? last I checked it was $449

CanAm does not seem to have any 7.62x39 in stock. FWIW, I just bought a 1200 rounds corrosive Cz crate at Wolverine for $200. This Cz stuff is now gone, but they have Romanian surplus, 1300 rounds for $225. The .223 of CanAm is stable at $450 a crate of 1600.

This stuff is *rare*. I picked up an ammo can at CanAm, $249 for 600 rounds.

Yeah 449 is what I've always bought at - curious where this 399 deal is ....

Just placed an order for some of the Romanian rounds myself I had previous been buying the Chinese "NC" stuff from lever but at 299 its not worth it anymore. Only downfall of shopping at wolverine is I also added few thousand rounds of AE 9mm, 500 12gauge target rounds and some Ae223 to try out... My $225 dollar order magically multiplied into the 4 digit range haha

Well, not only the "fear factor". Canada is flooded with cheap non-restricted, readily available, ex-USSR, firearms all in the same caliber... 7.62x39. Thus small supply plus high demand equals high prices.

When I got to the firearm community, I would have expected an overwhelming supply of .223, but it would seem getting a sub-$300 non-restricted semi-automatic rifle in .223 is rather difficult (if not non-existent).

Someone on CGN was selling the Norinco .223 for $399 and Canada Ammo was willing to price match it for a while. Looks like the other dealer no longer has, so prices are back to normal.

7.62 is $299 for a case of corrosive at my local shop, so buying online still ends up being cheaper. But it is nice to know it's there if I ever need it.
