unboxing a new Ruger MKIV 22/45 Lite

I haven't really compared them...just about all the shooting I do is on reaction targets...falling plates, bowling pin matches etc where pin point accuracy is not needed.

I like shooting heavy plate racks with my brothers .22. All shots have to be at the very top of the plate and it takes a double tap to knock them down (first shot rocks the plate and a follow up shot knocks it down). It's great practice.

Very nice!

The new take down/reasonably feature alone is worth upgrading form my old Mark III Target model, nice!

That's a nice collection, I've been thinking about getting a lite. I have a mark iv 22/45 tactical and its my best rimfire pistol, the takedown is so much easier!

They look really very nice, but they will be never even close to my MkII 5.5" barrel stainless, which I purchased nearly 30 years ago, and which looks and functions as it did the very first day.

As it is with light beer, light cheese, light cigarettes, it is just not the real thing. Therefore I am not a fan of it.

Looks like you are shooting at GRGC

I have been thinking about getting a Mark IV Standard but have been unable to find any info on the tapered barrel (4.75" or 6"). Does anybody here have any info or thoughts on it?
