i took mine down and the trigger group was almost identical to the 10/22 trigger group with a couple exceptions.

so as you can see the only real difference is the bolt release mechanism and mag release assembly and the extractor since its built onto the bolt now.
the hammer strut, hammer, safety, trigger, trigger reset plunger, seer, disconnector and all their associated pins and springs are the same.
in fact, when you take it out and turn it on its side all the pins fall out just like they do on the 10/22!

It's plastic, same feel as the 10/22 trigger group material.
Same here. I looked at a Marlin camp carbine many years ago and liked it but I didn't have any extra cash at the time. Then Marlin discontinued them. The reviews on the Ruger have been positive so far and the fact it is non-restricted - Glock magazines can be used is a bonus.
