This guy is a gun dealer / gunsmith in Poland and just came back from a Polish military arsenal with a surplus crate of Polish-made PPS-43's in full auto.

He says that they will convert them to semi and that anyone with a regular license will be able to buy them for 1000 pln from him, which is exactly $ 357 CAD. Included in the kit are the original 3 mags, pouches, oil bottles, sling and cleaning rod.

Pretty cool, huh...?

When was the last time we could buy a converted auto with a regular PAL for $ 360 ? Or any milsurp at all, for that matter?

And guess what? In Poland gun crime is low and blood is not flowing down Polish streets despite permissive gun laws, as Cana'duh's LIEberal gun grabbers would have the local sheeplekind believe!

:poop:

Another video with PPSh unboxing. Wartime-era surplus, unissued, all matching, spare barrel included, stick mags, drum mag, plus all the other accessories and bits.

Price : 860 $ CAD

Their website has some other cool stuff (that we can never have under the current LIEberal regime, lol) :

Kinda breaks me heart a bit. Takes me back to when surplus Enfields's, Mosin's, M1's, etc. could be had for $25-$75

It's pretty much what they're really worth (milsurps in general) when they're being sold off for scrap metal value to make room for more modern hardware in military depots around the World.

I remember a time in the 90's where milsurps were the absolute underdogs of firearms and few people actually "collected" them. Even places that sold them (like LeBaron in Montreal) would look at you weird when you asked to see some milsurp rifles or handguns. They would always try to upsell you with the latest and greatest offerings from Remington, Winchester, Ruger or Colt instead, lol.... saying that the milsurp stuff is essentially rusted and worn out scrap metal. It was priced accordingly though and they did not try to make much profit off of it.

Brand new unissued Longbranch Enfields No4 with bayo and cleaning kit for $118 a piece. I remember that well, it was the last batch I got from LeBaron when they were liquidating their milsurps section.

Ahh.... the good ole days !

I'd offer to step back a few more years to late 70's early 80's. Laurentian Trading Post days. Jasper Trading etc. Most WWII era were far from scrap metal value and straight out of the crate in grease. Often un-issued

When I first got my FAC, all the local Canadian tires had racks of SMLEs, and the mkIII (no star) rifles were cheaper because the magazine cutoffs and volley sights made them less desirable rifles for sporterization. You could have them to heart’s contents for around $100 a piece in the early 1990’s. Not really all that long ago (in my mind).

Of course I had no interest back then, I was saving up for a push feed model 70 in ought six (stupid me).

Nice.

As for scrap value, that's what the importers would often buy them for abroad, kind of like Century Arms. Some would resell with a small profit and work on volume sales, others would buy smaller batches and jack up prices based on scarcity and condition. The whole "hand picked" milsurp sales pitch.

Today prices are ridiculously jacked up across the board regardless of condition or scarcity. People are asking crazy money for things like rusted out bores with pitting and no rifling left or beat up and welded up DEWAT's that are basically large paper weights and no longer firearms, lol.

I'm glad some of us got to see the golden age of milsurp collecting, though. Ah, the memories. :)
