Hi, i bought i new m305 short version (first time buying a new firearm) and i want to have tip on how to clean it before shooting for the first time.

Dont know if i have to soak all the piece to remove cosmoline or just do a normal cleaning?

It's just oil... Just use a regular cleaner and wipe it off simple as that.

Just search youtube how to take it apart clean the gas system then when you shoot it make sure you can turn the gas knob to adjust it as the gas is often turned off.
 
Get 2 cans of brake cleaner in spray cans and some acetone from Canadian tire. That stuff is big business for cosmo. If that don't do it nothing will.

It dries with no stink too.

3rd choice is coleman lantern fuel. it works good too but not as good as the above.
 
"...to remove cosmoline..." It's not actually cosmoline, but it still has to come out. Varsol is your friend. And read the manual.
