Unconventional approaches to cleaning pitted bores 91/30's

I have tried many different types of commercial bore cleaners and they all had very little effect. What did work was a 50-50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and white vinager which I let it soak in the bore for 15 minutes. I then scrubbed the bore with the provided cleaning rod and nylon brush which I wrapped in stainless steel threads from a pot scrubber. This was then chucked in a battery power drill set on low. After that I took the gun to the gun range and fired about 30 very quick shots through it to get the bore good and hot. I then went home and repeated the cleaning/range routine. This cycle worked absolute wonders and did absolutely no damage to the bore or crown....absolutely none. That is not so say that my bore is perfect because it is not. There is some pitting and there are signs of use (marks, scratches) but none of this is consistent with what I was doing. What I can also tell you is that a lot of the so called pitting and shot out rifling turned out to be very heavy and stubborn lead fouling that once removed revealed a really decent bore.
