Hi guys! I have been shooting and load developing in my JR carbine in 45ACP lately.

I had allot of feeding and general reliability issues the first year or so with this rifle. After a little experimentation and a few updated mods, the carbine has functioned flawlessly for more than 500 rounds now! I was quite suprised at how accurate this carbine is now! I have tested 185, 200, 230 grain XTP's and 230 grain HAP bullets mainly. Unique and CFE Pistol sure shoot nice at top performance levels! It seems that every load that I have developed and worked up to maximum published powder charge has really tightened up when the pressures got higher. The last 4 or 5 groups I have shot are typically like these ones in the following photo. I am super pleased and suprised!

With blow back type bolt carbines, is accuracy this good common? My experience is mostly in bolt hunting, and precision rifles.

There are the 5 bullets that were fired and recovered in the group that are sitting on the target. I shot through the target into a big box with paper to stop the bullets. 4 of the 5 bullets weight in not more than a grain less than original weight! The 5th bullet lost less than 3 grains of weight. The XTP's have impressed me! I want to shoot a few into the box to recover some bullets at 100 as well.

I've seen MOA groups out of a 9mm JR at 100m benched before.... Almost made me buy one. Your 50yd groups are decent.
No mechanical reason why blow back guns can't be accurate though.
