I also know who I'll be ordering it from, no question. Kind of shady to take cash for pre-orders on a fabricated exclusivity claim, for a gun that could potentially be at the RCMP lab for months to years, for way over reasonable expected price...

So now with TI side of the story in thier thread it looks like Uzkon is playing the importers against each other. This puts us consumers in a interesting spot. If I do order with TI which I am still tempted to due to uzkons price hike, chances are wolverine will barter for a better deal and bring them in at thier guessed price of $700. If I wait for wolverine to bring them in, uzkon will not play ball and TI preorder price will be looking like a pretty good deal.
I might just go ahead and preorder under TI with their no hassle money back deposit, if I can confirm that it really is no hassel. We will see what happens before the preorder closes on the 30th.

Everyone is hating on TI right now for what?
(Asides from taking a pre-order prior to FRT approval, which, have they screwed people over on a pre-order cancellation yet?)
From what I am seeing in that letter it kind of looks like the Turks are playing games. Doesnt say that TI set out to do something bad, it just looks like they set out to import the same gun. Maybe the Turks did insinuate exclusivity, or insisted that it is fine to order because someone else is working on the FRT. My personal experience is that a lot of manufacturers overseas tend to have... looser morals.

Seems more like Wolverine brought in a sample to send to the lab... spending money to do so. Rather than commit a large amount of money to a gun that has yet to be classified.
TI on the other hand, has also tried to compete with Wolverine by letting Wolverine spend the money to send a sample to the lab, and turning to the gun buying community as a whole to fund the down payment for pre-order wanted by Uzkon. TI is out no money, unless of course Uzkon disappears and the gun goes prohib at which point they would have to repay the down payement. This is probably why they aren't asking for a full down payment. They are also claiming the gun will be NR to bolster their presale, when in reality they themselves don't know, let alone haven't even touched the gun itself. If the gun goes prohibit and TI can get the money back from Uzkon, TI will return said money to the pre-sale consumers. Not the first time they have done this... it is their business model for the most part.
So Wolverine is cash in on this gamble at the lab, which ever classification seems to be. TI is consumer's cash in but none of their own and trying to capitalize on Uzkon's desire to bring in capital.
Vote with your wallet when the time comes.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head with this one, wolverine is doing all the work, ti is trying to take all the profits, while using customers Money to bankroll it.
Ti seems to like hyping things up, without any real way of. Guaranteeing delivery, I'm extremely interested in this gun, I will not be ordering it or anything else from ti.

I've been dealing with wolverine for years and have nothing but positive feedback and outmost respect for them. Mr. Wolverine and his team specially Grumpy, are most gentlemen I've ever dealt with.
I must say I was tempted with TI's Type81 and UNG-12 but I don't give my dime to people who does shady business. To my eyes, TI is just trying to cash the profit on buyers dime while wolverine pulls all the mussel. Yes, TI wrote their response as well and appears to be Manufacturer UZKON in a 1 bird 2 stone spot.... I would rather stick to Mr. Wolverines story as his team, company and reputation super seeds any doubt.
It's hard to put your finger on what exactly is going on, as only a few actually know... But one thing that seems to be common knowledge is that TI is marketing and selling a gun that hasn't been allowed into Canada yet. They claim that, because it meets the criteria for a Non-Restricted gun, that it will be classified as such. Anyone that has researched the topic knows that when dealing with the RCMP lab, it's not that simple. There's still a very real chance that it will come back as Prohibited, for no justifiable reason. Like the Mossberg Blaze -vs- Blaze 47.

If they do come back restricted or even prohib the manufacturer could likely stick them with the guns anyhow.
Unless it was agreed upon that the classification was a condition of the final sale, but doesn't sound like this Uzkon would ever agree to that by the tone of that email.
