The Ross Rifle has such a bad history from WWI that I've tended to ignore the company, but they were definitely a part of happier firearms times in Canada and maybe I'll look around a bit more. Anyway, I'd loved to have seen how this pistol came out in a final version.

Good post. I'm certainly familiar with the rifles but did realize they experimented with pistols. Very interesting action. There sure was a lot of innovation in gun design in the early 20th century.
