Unissued 1953 Tula SKS value?

I had an non issued SKS. Was a beauty of an SKS. I didn't even buy it looking for it. I just picked one up off the rack from Wholesale sports and it was in mint shape. Beautiful red wood with all the original factory markings around the cross bolt, bluing was 100%, not a mark on the dust cover from the takedown pin, no primer marks on the bolt face. Looked like a brand new gun. Never fired a round though that gun. It looked too beautiful to shoot so I just kept using my refurbished 1950 instead. The gun was in better shape than my non issued Chinese Type 56 SKS.

I traded that gun for an iPhone 5s. Seems like a really good trade but in 5 years from now, That iPhone will be worth tossing it in the garbage while that SKS will still have value.

Today I don't own any SKS. But if I were to get another one, Id just pick a random refurb of the rack. An SKS like that is a thing of beauty and most people have never seen an SKS in that good of shape but I feel like I shouldn't fire a gun like that and just preserve it. I buy guns to shoot them not look at them.

OP, do you mean unissued after refurb or unissued sa in never issued never refurbed?

According to the person I got it from back in 08 it was an unissued and after careful inspection I did not see any marking that indicate it has been refurbished.

Its still partially covered in cosmo with a golden bayonet and follower pinned mag not at the bottom.
