Unissued SKS?

You can find a LOT of unissued ones right now, shop around if you're just looking for cheapest price. I just bought a really early 1950 from Weimajack for $395 but if you're not after a collector, you can get one for half that

A few of the website sponsors are selling unissued SKSs. Last I checked price varied from about 200-250 depending on shipping I would imgine.

It seems the most spoken about on the site in Westrifle link above on left.

ordered from you today. Life is not so good since I don't have PPSh and with lot of problems since I don't have AKM; but SKS should improve things.

For those who did not understand what is it about PPSH, my signature says in Russian " Life is good, if you have PPSH! And there is no problem at all , if there is AKM" it is just a funny riddle.
chaslavk thank you for ordering from us.

check macdonalds sporting goods in portage la prairie. i ordered one from them, it showed up at my door 3 days later in winnipeg. its an unissued russian sks45 made at the tula plant dated 1951.

I picked up a few of the Norinco SKS + 1440 crate of 7.62 deals from Marstar. $375 + S&H for everything.

I have heard the Russians are a bit nicer/more reliable, but so far I have no complaints. Just make sure if you are getting unissued in cosmoline you pull the entire firing pin apparatus apart and clean the hell out of it. Pretty much every case of slam-fire is because people have cleaned everything else up nice and then failed to disassemble the pin assembly and wipe all of the cosmoline out of there. It's very easy to do, too.

In general, the russian are better finished but the chinese are equally reliable. I collect russian but i bought a chinese17 years ago(still have it) and its a very fine carbine.

Almost any local gun store has a few of those, at least in my area (GTA). They sell anywhere from $150 to $350, depending on the store, condition, and other factors.

What years do you guys want? I can get it no problem. Two of my last batches were 53 and up. I wanted unissued and 54 is what I had unissued at depo overseas so I took it.

If you want selection, buy now. The options are already dwindling. Most of what's out there seems to be 53 or 54 Tulas which are not rare, compared to Izzies and other year Tulas.

I still have many unrefurbs Russian SKS on hand, dated 1950 to 1956.

I have many IZHEVSK refurbs at very interesting price.

Just ask for a special selection.

See many of them posted in the "Equipment Exchange"

Hi Sergey,

Sorry for my newbie question, but could you educate me please, what is a difference between hardwood and laminated SKS ? Why did you recommend hardwood ?

Cheers,

I know! I know!

Probably because any SKS older than 1956 with a laminate stock has to be a refurbished one, not unissued. The only ones that originally came with laminate would be from 1956 (and maybe part of 1955??).
