Universal Decapping die, what are you using?

As much as I don't care for Lee, this is what I use.
Don't forget to tighten the two nuts so the pin won't slip.
Their hard plastic case is sure easy to bust though.

It's one nut, and it's suppose to slip.
I've been using LEE since I started to reload, and the only time I broke one of their hard plastic case's was out in the shed at -30.

lee. cheap, works, and replacement pins are 2$... didnt break one de-priming 1000 crimped 223 cases.

And if you do, a replacement pin is 2$....
And, it will probably slide up before breaking.

I use a Lyman Universal Decapping Die. Can't go wrong got $19.99. Also have a 10 pack of replacement pins for $2.50 although I havent needed to use it in over 5000 rounds

I bought a lyman because it was the only one available at the store when i was looking for one.
I am sure any decaping die would work just fine. It's not really a precision instrument.

I will freely admit that I seldom decap as a separate operation.

However, somewhere in my trading, I ended up with a Lee Universal decapper.
In any application I have used it so far, it has performed fine.

FWIW, it is the only Lee die I own.

Regards, Dave.

Tried the two RCBS units (standard and heavy duty) with poor results in a mechanized 1050, but the Dillion universal decapper is rock solid.
