I scored 700 lead cast Bullets at auction. They were listed as 9mm. 500 are but the remaining 200 are quite long.

Unknown projectile weighs in at 162.5gn measure .357 and is .736 long. You can see in the photo the left is the unknown and the right is a 9mm. My guess it’s for either 38 or 357. Any help would be appreciated.

Pretty sure Snider Shooter nailed the id on this one. I have a box of 1000 of these bullets, DRG on the label and for 38 Super at 160 gr. weight. I use them for light loads in a pair of 9x57 Mauser rifles I bought from Tradex.

At .357 diameter they are ideal for 9mm handgun barrels and to small for 38/357 barrels. IMHO, cast bullets shoot best when they are a few thousandths oversize.

There is a lot of data available for the 150 grain jacketed bullets and the start load for those should be a good place to start.

I've used an almost identical bullet for 9x23, 9mm Browning Long, 9mm Bergmann and in 9x19 loads.

Shoot them, just use loads appropriate to your firearm.

I wouldn't shoot them in a P-08 Parabellum (aka Luger)

I just don't think they will fit my 9mm without compressing the powder lol, i'll have to see

Use an appropriate powder as you would with any other firearm that you're handloading for and switch from a short, light bullet to a long, heavy bullet.

Your posts show that you have an understanding of such things, I don't know why you're confused with this one?

I'm not confused, i was just questioning how much longer that bullet is then a regular 9mm that it would need to be seated pretty far into the case to chamber properly. As you mentioned that you have used them i doubt i will have issues using them but purely on visual difference in length i wasn't sure it would seat properly to fit.

The beveled base and blue lube reminds me of a Missouri Bullet offering from a few years back. Not on their current list though.

No dis intended, just wondering where you were coming from.

LEE had a very similar mold for a few years in the 9mm/38 Super section.
