Unknown Sten Manufacturer Codes...

Asking the experts...

I recently purchased a DEWAT Mk. II Sten. The manufacturer markings & codes have me a bit stumped.

The receiver (magwell) is marked...
STEN MK II
E&Co

The trigger guard is marked...
J
H [?] LD
W
These initials are in a shield.

I believe that "E&Co" is Elkington & Company (Birmingham) however, I cannot find any info on "JHW LD.

What are your thoughts?

The LD look more like LtD (limited) to me. No idea what company that could be though. Remember that many small garage size workshops would make individual pieces of stens that would get collected up and brought to the factories.

I believe I have seen that stamp as well.
